Adam Eakins, Chair
Adam has been Lead Pastor of Broadmead Community Church in Northampton since 2010 having completed his training at Spurgeon’s College. Before that he has been a Mental Health Nurse, Schools Worker, Student/Young Adult Worker and led a small charity focusing on emerging leaders. He is currently a trustee of Northampton School and Street Pastors, Northampton Association of Youth Clubs as well as a chair of governors for his local Primary School. He remains passionate about helping people to encounter Jesus in fun, relevant and exciting ways whatever their age. He is married to Karen who is Head of Consultancy for Thirtyone:eight (safeguarding charity) and they have three children. He loves most sports, especially cricket, enjoys good indie music, reading and films. Ordering him a good coffee is the answer to most problems, he believes.
Dawn Savidge Company Secretary
Dawn lives in West Yorkshire with her three teenage children. She has always been passionate about children and youth ministry and for helping churches realise new ways that they can reach out and make disciples. Dawn has a couple of paid roles all of which are estate ministry based. She loves running, hiking, photography and meeting people for coffee.
Carolyn Smith Treasurer
Carolyn has been a Christian for over 50 years; she attends a chapel in a village just outside Bedford. At the chapel she is a trustee and treasurer and also teaches in the Sunday School. Carolyn is also a trustee in a local charity, Hope Bedfordshire, which works with the churches in the Bedford area.
Carolyn has run her bookkeeping business since 2004; she is a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, she is also a member of the Association of Church Treasurers and Accountants. She works with more than 25 clients around Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
Carolyn has been married to Graham for 38 years, has 2 married children, Hannah and Richard, and three grandchildren, in her spare time she knits, crochets and sews and spends time with the family.
Angela Clarke Safeguarding
Angela is a Theology Student, currently studying for her Masters. Her research is specialising in the retention and continual engagement of tweenagers with Christian life and belief. She is married and blessed with two sons and daughter in laws and two grandchildren. Angela’s passion is outreach to children youth and families so that they may hear and be touched by Jesus. She volunteers as a Sunday School teacher, A youth leader and at outreach to families via a lunch hunger club. She has experience as a cub scout leader and a swimming coach, as well as a 35-year career in the Civil Service. She is a member of the Scripture Union of UK Board.
Joanne Foster is currently a freelance children’s curriculum writer and co-author of The Lightbringers. She has been involved in children’s and family ministry for over 15 years creating programmes, running schools teams and leading kids and holiday clubs for churches and a large annual Christian festival. Jo also runs seminars for churches and leaders to be inspired and better equipped in transitioning kids from children to youth. She is married to Steve and they have three children, Tom, JJ and Sam.
